In
the Year 2210,
the World is at
War
As
the leader of
a warring faction,
you control the
destiny of your
people. On the
Earth, in the
great underwater
domed cities beneath
the oceans, in
orbit, and even
on the Moon, you
must marshal your
forces, send forth
your troops, and
hire the right
commanders to
crush your enemies.
Build alliances
if you dare, but
be wary of whom
you trust. Energy
is the currency
of the 23rd century;
spend wisely and
you just might
conquer the world
- and beyond.
RISK
2210 A.D. also
includes everything
needed to play
the classic game
of Risk.

Geographically,
the Risk 2210 AD map
is nearly identical
to the classic Risk
game's map with a few
added extras. This time,
not only does it have
the same forty-two land
territories
as before some
with somewhat different
names, but it also has
13 water
territories
and 14 lunar
territories.
At
the start of each new
game comes the placement
of four devastation
markers making four
land
territories
both impassable and
uninhabitable. The effect
on play of such gamely
variances means that
each player's strategy
needs to be constantly
redefined
One
of the biggest differences
from classic Risk has
to be the addition of
commanders: land, naval,
space, nuclear and diplomat
with the original version
and now the UNOFFICIAL
Advanced Tech and Terror
Tactics commanders.
Each commander although
moving as a regular
unit fills different
roles and possesses
different abilities.
The commander's most
basic function is to
act as an improved army
unit, enabling players
to roll an eight-sided
dice (d8)
rather than the typical
six-sided
dice (d6)
- for all commanders
this is true when defending,
but rules differ for
attacking moves. Space
and naval commanders
also allow movement
into lunar
territories
and into water
territories
respectively.
